About
Why WYRE?
WYRE Technology was founded to solve a very specific problem. Our region—Chattanooga, Tennessee, and the surrounding areas—had few managed services providers (MSPs), and none had emerged as the clear choice for modern businesses. There was a serious need for a team with technical depth, a broad skill set, and amazing customer service.

Meet Some Of Our Team
Tyler York
CEO and Cofounder
Tyler’s technical career began immediately after high school, when he enlisted in the US Air Force. During his time in the military, he served as a cybersystems operator in the 83rd Network Operations Squadron, stationed at Ramstein Airbase, Germany. This assignment fast-tracked his career development and prepared him for future deep technical roles in enterprise IT and consulting.
Later, as an engineer at TVA, his team drove automation initiatives and the first implementations of cloud technologies such as Azure and AWS.
This early cloud experience opened the door to consulting opportunities, where he helped architect cloud infrastructure for Fortune 500 companies and government agencies. With the business experience gained from consulting and connections made from years of high-level technical work, the foundation was laid.
In 2021, the founders of WYRE saw a need for an IT managed services and consulting company that provided uncompromisingly excellent customer service and expert technical assistance. WYRE was built to fill that need.
When Tyler isn’t busy at WYRE, he’s out on adventures with his family, chasing motorsports dreams, traveling, and enjoying nature.
Mike Wade
President and Cofounder
Mike’s career in tech has been decades in the making. Starting with a fascination of programming as a kid, he got his first official job in the field in 1994. After gaining extensive experience in software development, cloud architecture, and advanced VoIP solutions, his ultimate goal was to start a company with like-minded people to bring enterprise solutions to small- and medium-size businesses in the region. In 2021, he succeeded, and WYRE was born.
On quiet days, he likes to spend time with his family, cook, restore pinball machines, and explore the world of bourbon.
Dave Baughn
COO and Cofounder
A veteran of the US Marine Corps, Dave has decades of experience in the field of IT, including running his own consulting business. Over the years, he worked his way up through the industry and honed his technical skills, focusing on networking and voice.
“WYRE was an opportunity to build a business we can all be proud of; to be able to provide exceptional service to our customers; to allow our customers to focus on their core business initiatives and less on IT; and to provide an environment where our team members can grow to their potential.”
He believes in WYRE, calling it “a great company with unlimited potential. It is an honor to be part of something this amazing with all of the team.”
Dave is actively involved in the amateur (ham) radio community. In summer 2020, he got his Technician license, then upgraded to General class. In 2022, he upgraded again to Amateur Extra and is a volunteer examiner in several local clubs in the area.
Beau Moffatt
CCO (Chief Customer Officer)
Beau started his career in IT in 2001 while still in college. He has experience working on teams in large organizations like BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee, as well as small- and medium-size businesses (SMBs).
To WYRE, he brings experience in managing projects, customer service, account management, digital marketing and business strategy to help clients find the right solutions for their specific needs.
For fun, Beau enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf, running, and hiking. He is also a co-organizer of the WordPress Chattanooga Meetup.
Angela Wade
Director of Marketing
Angela has been involved in the IT industry since the early days, working as technical support for various businesses in and around Chattanooga. In 2003, she moved to the field of publishing, where she spent years helping authors of all stripes find their voice—and their audience.
In 2022, it was time for another adventure, and she shifted into marketing and content. With a passion for analytics, social media, marketing communications, content, SEO, & graphics, Angela’s goal is to help WYRE connect with its customers in a meaningful way.
When she isn’t working, she spends her time hiking, birdwatching, painting, and reading.
Alejandra Ortiz-Sanchez
Account Manager
Alejandra became interested in IT at a young age when she was learning how to bypass the block on YouTube at the school her mom taught at. From there, she did small tech-related jobs at the school. She realized how much she enjoyed that type of work and helping people, and decided to stick with it.
Alejandra chose to work with WYRE for a few different reasons. “First, I love the fact that we have such good relationships with our clients. I love that I can walk into the office and be greeted by everyone there, and I can joke and have regular conversations with them. It really feels like a big family. Everyone has been so supportive and helpful—I truly feel like they’ll have my back and help me succeed.”
In her spare time, she loves to go hiking, whether it’s taking her dog to a nearby trail or traveling out of state to spend a few days in one of the national parks. Sometimes, she brings her DSLR camera to take some landscape shots, so she can print them out and stick them in a photo album or hang them around the house. “Any chance I get to be outside, I like to take advantage of!”
Craig Soborowicz
Senior Engineer
Craig began his career in the IT industry back in 1998. His job was to manage DNS servers for a large telecommunications company.
Since then, he’s been able to learn a lot of different technologies—from networking and firewalls to public cloud and SDWAN. His personal favorite is networking, but he’s happy to have a wide breadth of experience.
In early 2023, he and WYRE found each other. He liked the people, and he felt that his varied experience was a great fit!
In his spare time, he enjoys reading and working on whatever home-improvement project his wife has dreamed up. He’s also a novice gardener and is learning how to not kill plants.
Dayron Daugherty
Senior Microsoft Systems Engineer
Dayron started in IT in 1997 when he realized his love of playing video games and building computers could lead to a career. His first technical job was repairing computers in a large retailer’s tech shop. From there he started gaining various IT industry certifications, opening new opportunities in the corporate world.
Now with over twenty-five years of experience, Dayron has worked in the areas of PC repair, desktop support, networking, database administration, IT management, and systems administration and security—both on-prem and in the cloud. He has provided these services to a wide range of industries, including retail, mortgage, non-profit, education, healthcare, and government. Having experience in supporting organizations from small business to large enterprise, Dayron provides expert solutions and support that businesses need.
In 2022, Dayron started working with WYRE as a consultant on various projects. In May 2024, he was excited to join the company full time as an IT Solutions Architect and Senior Microsoft Systems Administrator.
Outside of work Dayron enjoys spending time with his family and friends, playing bass guitar, lifting weights, and (still) playing video games.
Kevin Rivera
Support Technician
Kevin broke into IT in 2024, when he interned here at WYRE Technology. He loved the daily challenges and decided to keep pursuing it as a career.
He decided to come back to WYRE for two reasons. The first was that the company supports several local nonprofits, and one of Kevin’s metrics for feeling successful is if he’s able to use his skills to help people. “Being able to support nonprofits that, in turn, help other people is a very fulfilling job to me!”
The second reason he chose WYRE was because he enjoys surrounding himself with both kind and intelligent people. “Both of these are in abundance here. I enjoy coming into work every day, knowing that any conversation can lead to me learning from my peers, who have decades of experience.”
When Kevin has time off, you can usually find him watching a movie. He frequents the movie theater at least three to four times a month. If not there, he’ll be at his house, spending time with his wife and dog, planning their next vacation abroad or knocking out their long list of home-remodeling projects.
Morgan Hiu
Support Manager
Morgan started his tech career in freshman year of high school—he worked for a local mom-and-pop computer-repair shop after school. From there, he moved to broadcast AV, supporting mission-critical live-production environments.
He came to WYRE because he “enjoys the team culture and getting to help customers with their technical needs. As an Eagle Scout, I always want to help others the best I can.”
In his free time, Morgan explores secondhand shops for DVDs and Blu-rays to add to his ever-growing media collection. He also loves finding great local coffee shops to relax in and have an iced latte.
Derek Stubbs
Support Engineer—Team Lead
Derek brings over twenty-five years of experience in information technology, serving both civilian sectors and the US Department of Defense.
He chose WYRE because “It’s a thriving and well-respected managed services provider (MSP) with strong growth potential and a reputation for excellence in the industry.”
When he has free time, he enjoys hiking, travel, and anything motorsports-related. “I also consider myself a bit of a foodie.”
Jerry Tse
Account Executive
Beginning in 2016, Jerry cut his teeth in sales as a realtor at Keller Williams in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Throughout the years, he developed his sales and communications skills, working with hundreds of home buyers to find and buy the right home for them.
Jerry started working with WYRE Technology in 2022 as a part-time account executive. In late 2024, he decided to transition into a full-time role. This transition was fueled by an excitement for the growth of WYRE and the belief that this company really is bringing a higher level of service to the IT industry in Chattanooga. To his role, he brings expertise in lead generation and relationship building.
In his spare time, Jerry is an avid bicyclist and endurance athlete. He loves finding and competing in new events around Chattanooga and will run with anyone who wants to join him!
Aaron Sachs
Lead Engineer
Aaron started in tech in 2009 as a desktop support technician at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, while working on his MS in Communication. From there, he started working at Pilot/Flying J in their QA department and eventually moved into doing Linux system administration. Prior to WYRE, his focus was on working with distributed systems, with an emphasis on observability and monitoring.
In November 2023, Aaron made the move to WYRE. “The team is fantastic. I had a ‘dating’ period with WYRE as a contractor and got to experience the company culture and the people. The team is top-notch and committed to delivering the best experience for their customers, partners, and employees.”
When he has a spare moment or two, aside from spending time with family, Aaron is a multi-instrumentalist who plays guitar, banjo, and the bouzouki. He also likes to brew beer (he won an award for his strawberry-cream ale!) and enjoys playing video games.
Emily Baughn
Support Technician
Emily has always loved IT. She grew up by her dad’s side, watching him work on computers, build networks, and study for many certifications. “He is always learning, is wise in the IT world, and stays ahead of the technological curve, advancing with the speed of technology.” His great example made technology like breathing, and Emily became a website creator, developing and maintaining multiple sites.
She joined WYRE because “It’s not just a business-as-usual kind of company, but a team of people who care and support each other.” This carries through to each customer, ultimately providing the best of client care and tech support. “WYRE gives the best possible result and service to our clients in an ever-changing field!”
In her time off, Emily loves to learn and read. Studying is a way of life—anything from science and history to natural health and organic gardening.
